OFFENSE

nearly sacks Derek (seven) half Carr as took many as he completed passes (16). The offense had 10 possesions; six ended in punts and one on downs. Their longest drive of 10 plays for 71 yards yielded a field goal; their secondlong­est (10 plays, 47 yards) a missed field-goal try.

DEFENSE

its A 49ers third-string averaged offense quarterbac­k 7.5 led yards by per play and amassed 405 yards. That included a 71-yard pass to tight end George Kittle, with safety Erik Harris whiffing on a tackle, a 53-yard pass to Richie James, and a 52-yard Raheem Mostert touchdown run on which he wasn’t touched.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Rookie punter Johnny Townsend remains shaky at best. He averaged a net of 36.5 yards on six punts, with two pinning the 49ers inside their 20-yard line. Rookie kicker Daniel Carlson missed a 45-yard field-goal try and made a 37-yarder. The Raiders’ average drive started at their 24.

COACHING

OVERALL

It wasn’t the physical manhandlin­g they experience­d against Seattle in London, but this was an uglier loss. The 49ers were a one-win team starting a thirdstrin­g quarterbac­k. The Raiders were mostly intact and were not competitiv­e. In prime time. On national TV. Where do they go from here?
