Show of support for Camp Fire victims

Musical acts play benefits to aid relief efforts

California’s deadliest and most destructiv­e wildfire may be contained, but the devastatio­n caused by the recent Camp Fire, which destroyed nearly 14,000 homes and killed at least 88 people, will linger for a long time. And Northern California­ns know this all too well.

As with the Wine Country fires that scorched the North Bay last year, inspiring benefit concerts like Band Together Bay Area (which featured Metallica, G-Eazy and Dead & Company), the Bay Area arts community is once again stepping up to do its part.

Rapper Too Short, singersong­writer Matt Nathanson and the bluegrass outfit T Sisters are just some of the acts lending a hand after this year’s disaster. Here is a listing of some of the cultural events happening in the coming days and weeks in support of relief efforts.

A Camp Fire Benefit featuring Mind Motion: DJs Mind Motion, Mr. E, DJ Cutso and others join forces for this event, hosted by Chuy Gomez, Fran Boogie and more.
