Mavs edge Clippers

Harrison Barnes scored 30 points and Dorian Finney-Smith tipped in a rebound with 35 seconds remaining to give Dallas the lead for good as the host Mavericks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 114-110 on Sunday.

Dallas center DeAndre Jordan had 16 points and 23 rebounds.

After Lou Williams gave the Clippers just their second lead of the second half at 110-109 with a three-pointer with 46.9 left, Barnes drove the lane and missed — but FinneySmit­h was there for a tip-in.

The game featured two scraps between the Mavs’ Dennis Smith Jr. and the Clippers’ Patrick Beverley — the first resulting in Smith losing part of a tooth, and the second in Beverley’s ejection after a technical foul.

Lakers Kuzma scored 120, Suns 23 points 96: Kyle and LeBron James had 22 before both sat out the fourth quarter for host Los Angeles, which trailed by 17 points early but has won 12 of 16 since its 2-5 start.

Spurs 131, Trail Blazers 118: DeMar DeRozan scored 36 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 29 as host San Antonio shook off losses of 39 points and 31 points to beat Portland. Damian Lillard scored 37 points for the Trail Blazers.

76ers 103, Grizzlies 95: Jimmy Butler scored 13 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter as host Philadelph­ia improved to 9-2 since acquiring him from Minnesota.

Heat 102, Jazz 100: Dwyane Wade made two free throws with 3.2 seconds remaining to give host Miami the victory after trailing by 19 points early. Utah’s Donovan Mitchell had a chance to win it, but his three-point attempt was off at the buzzer.

Pelicans 119, Hornets 109: Anthony Davis had 36 points, 19 rebounds and eight assists to boost visiting New Orleans. Frank Kaminsky led Charlotte with 19 points.
