Stanford: The Cardinal are aiming for a record eighth national title. They last won it in 2016, then lost to Florida in the national semifinals last year. Their only loss this season came at BYU in a five-set match Aug. 31. Since

then, they have won a school-record 30 straight. Kathryn Plummer, Jenna Gray and Morgan Hentz were the Pac-12 Player, Setter and Libero of the Year, respective­ly. Gray, Hentz, Plummer were named as first team All-Americans. Tami Alade and Audriana Fitzmorris were second-team selections.

BYU: The Cougars lead the nation with a .315 team hitting percentage. Senior outside hitter Roni Jones-Perry leads them with 4.88

kills on .343 hitting and 1.93 digs per set. Senior setter Lyndie Haddock-Eppich controls the offense with 11.27 assists per set.

Nebraska: The defending national champion Cornhusker­s won the Minneapoli­s Regional, sweeping 15th-seeded Oregon, which ousted second-seeded Minnesota in the semifinal. Minneapoli­s Regional MVP Mikaela Foecke averages 3.8 kills on .319 hitting and 2.69 digs per set.

Illinois: The Illini are in the final four for the first time since 2011 when they reached the final under Cardinal head coach Kevin Hambly. Senior setter Jordyn Poulter averages 11.61 assists and 2.50 digs. Senior outside hitter Jacqueline Quade leads the team with 4.19 kills and 1.92 digs.
