U.S., Jamaica win in Gold Cup quarters

The United States was outplayed during the second half by 79thranked Curacao but managed to advance to the CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinals with a 10 win in Philadelph­ia behind Weston McKennie's goal in the 25th minute.

The defending champion U.S.will play Jamaica on Wednesday in Nashville in the second semifinal, a night after Mexico faces Haiti at Glendale, Ariz. The U.S. reached the semifinals for the 10th straight Gold Cup and 14th in 15 overall.

In the earlier game, Darren Mattocks scored on a penalty kick in the 75th minute and Jamaica beat Panama 10.

WNBA: Arike Ogunbowale bounced back from one of the worst shooting games in WNBA history, to help Dallas rally over Minnesota 8986 in Arlington, Texas.

Ogunbowale scored 19 points, finishing 7 of 12 from the field. The fifth pick in the 2019 draft was coming off a 2of23 shooting night in Friday night's 6968 loss to New York.

In other games, Tina Charles had 17 of her 24 points in the first half and the visiting New York Liberty beat the Atlanta Dream 7458 . ... DeWanna Bonner and Brittney Griner each had 20 points as the Phoenix Mercury beat host Seattle 6967. ... Riquna Williams scored 19 points and host Los Angeles routed Chicago, 9469.

NHL: The Chicago Blackhawks acquired forward Andrew Shaw in a deal with the Montreal Canadiens that involved several draft picks.

The Carolina Hurricanes swapped goalies by acquiring James Reimer in a trade with the Florida Panthers. Florida acquired goalie Scott Darling and put him on waivers with the intention to buy out the two years left on his contract.
