La Stella out with broken leg

Second baseman Tommy La Stella and outfielder Brian Goodwin were placed on the the injured list by the Angels on Wednesday. The team also recalled former Giants outfielder Jarrett Parker from TripleA Salt Lake.

La Stella, selected to the AL AllStar team, is expected to miss at least two months because of a broken bone in his right leg. He was hurt when he fouled a pitch off the leg.

Goodwin is out after he was hit on the wrist by a pitch.

Tampa Bay second baseman Brandon Lowe replaced La Stella on the AllStar roster.

“Honestly, with everything that’s been going on, it’s kind of been the last thing on my mind,” La Stella said, alluding to the death Monday of teammate Tyler Skaggs. “I’ll think about it over the next 24 hours or so.” Herrera update: Domesticas­sault charges against Philadelph­ia outfielder Odubel Herrera were dismissed in Atlantic City, N.J., after his girlfriend declined to press charges.

Herrera will remain on administra­tive leave through at least Friday, when Major League Baseball will be reevaluate his case. Injury report: The Rays put first baseman JiMan Choi on the IL because of a strained left ankle . ... Texas reliever Matt Bush has a torn elbow ligament and will require Tommy John surgery, the team announced, and Baltimore lefthander Josh Rogers underwent Tommy John surgery.
