The Tampa Bay Rays and Japanese outfielder Yoshitomo Tsutsugo have finalized a twoyear contract worth about $12 million.

Tsutsugo, 28, will be introduced Tuesday.

He was available to bigleague teams through the posting process by Yokohama of Japan’s Central League. The Rays will pay a posting fee of about $2.4 million.

A lefthanded hitter, Tsutsugo batted .272 this year with 29 homers and 79 RBIs. He has a .285 average with 205 homers and 613 RBIs in 10 seasons with Yokohama.

American import: Josh Lindblom’s journey to Milwaukee included a detour or two through South Korea.

“I haven’t taken the most direct route to sitting here,” Lindblom said after the Brewers finalized a threeyear contract for $9,125,000.

A 32yearold righthander, Lindblom was selected by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2008 amateur draft. He made six starts and 108 relief appearances from 2011 through ’14 for the Dodgers, Philadelphia, Texas and the A’s. He signed with South Korea’s Lotte Giants before 2015, returned briefly with Pittsburgh in 2017, then signed with South Korea’s Doosan Bears.

He went 357 in two seasons with a 2.68 ERA.
