Down 30? No problem for Raptors

-

Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors used a huge fourth quarter at home to pull off the NBA’s biggest comeback in a decade.

Lowry had 32 points and 10 assists, Chris Boucher scored a careerhigh 21 points and the Raptors overturned a 30point deficit to beat the Dallas Mavericks 110107 on Sunday. Lowry had one fewer point in the fourth (20) than the Mavericks managed as a team (21).

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” coach Nick Nurse said of Lowry’s explosive finish.

It was the biggest comeback in Raptors history, and the NBA’s first 30point comeback since Sacramento beat Chicago on Dec. 21, 2009, according to Elias.

“I’m definitely going to go watch the game again, just to see how exciting this game was and how the fans helped us so much,” Boucher said.

Dallas forward Kristaps Porzingis wasn’t interested in a second viewing after making five of 15 shots.

“I still can’t process what happened,” Porzingis said. Thunder 118, Clippers 112: Shai GilgeousAlexander matched his career high with 32 points and Oklahoma City rallied at home to beat Los Angeles.

The Thunder came back from 18 points down in the second quarter. It’s the third time in seven days they overcame a deficit that big to win.

Paul George scored 18 points in his first game in Oklahoma City since being traded from the Thunder to the Clippers. Nuggets 128, Lakers 104: Paul Millsap scored 21 points and Denver won its sixth in a row after dominating the second half in Los Angeles.

Gary Harris added 19 points, Nikola Jokic had 18 points, Malik Beasley had 16 points and Will Barton III had 14 points and a careerhightying 13 rebounds for the Nuggets, who pulled away to a 23point lead early in the fourth.

The Lakers’ LeBron James missed his first game of the season because of a thoracic muscle strain.

Bucks 117, Pacers 89: Giannis Antetokounmpo had 18 points, 19 rebounds and nine assists, spoiling Malcolm Brogdon’s return to Milwaukee.

Celtics 119, Hornets 93: Jayson Tatum had a careerhigh 39 points, Kemba Walker scored 23 points against his former team, and Boston won at home. Tatum eclipsed his previous high of 34 points against Brooklyn on Jan. 14.
