Sonoma Nationals off, no new date set

-

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the National Hot Rod Association and Sonoma Raceway announced that this summer’s Sonoma Nationals have been postponed indefinitely.

The NHRA and Sonoma Raceway said a makeup date for the July 2426 event has not been determined.

Anyone who has purchased a ticket can use it when the event is rescheduled, get a refund (minus service charges), or receive a credit plus 20% toward the 2021 event. A decision need not be made until 30 days after the rescheduled date is set.

NFL: The regularseason schedule will be released Thursday in a threehour telecast on NFL Network starting at 5 p.m.

The league has not announced major changes to its schedule. The NFL plans to start the season on time while playing in teams’ home stadiums.

Opening day for the 2020 season is Sept. 10, with the season set to conclude with Super

Bowl 55 on Feb. 7, 2021.

The five games scheduled for London and Mexico City will be moved back to U.S. stadiums because of the coronavirus pandemic. All five regularseason games will be played at the stadiums of the host teams.

Scheduled were two home games for the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London and two at Tottenham’s new facility, with the Atlanta Falcons and Miami Dolphins as hosts. Arizona was to be the home team for the game at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. Opponents had not been set.

The Chicago Bears signed former 49ers wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. to a oneyear contract. He has 409 receptions for 5,702 yards and 33 touchdowns in his 13year NFL career.
