2 NFL players facing armedrobbery charges

Police in Miramar, Fla., are trying to find New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar after multiple witnesses accused them of an armed robbery at a party, authorities said Thursday.

Police issued arrest warrants for both men on four counts each of armed robbery with a firearm. Baker, a 2019 firstround pick who started 15 games last season, faces an additional four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Baker, 22, and Dunbar, 27, were attending a cookout at a Miramar home Wednesday night when a fight broke out, and Baker pulled out a handgun, the warrant said. Baker, Dunbar and two other men began robbing people at the party of thousands of dollars in cash, watches and other valuables, witnesses told investigators.

The police report portrays the incident as possible revenge for gambling losses endured by the players two nights earlier.

Golf: Zach Smith won the Scottsdale Open in Arizona, closing with an 8underpar 62 for a threestroke victory in the minitour event in which some PGA Tour players returned to competition.

Smith, 24, finished the threeround tournament at Talking Stick Resort at 18under 192, and earned $20,000 from the $130,000 purse.
