Burden is on students to be responsible
After reading “Students’ behavior threatens colleges reopening hopes” (Page One, July 10), I kept thinking about my own prepandemic college experience. Dorm life and frat parties were (and still are) important avenues for socializing outside of the classrooms.
Many students on college campuses are experiencing independence for the first time and will unfortunately not always behave responsibly. Perhaps the message to incoming freshmen as the COVID19 virus spreads to younger age groups is this: Mask up and social distance or pack up and go home!
