Two men were arrested and charged this week with separate murders in Antioch, one involving the killing of a woman who shared a child with the suspect, authorities said Wednesday.

Ramello Darryl Randle, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday by Antioch and Oakland police after a woman was found shot to death Monday, according to Antioch police.

Jonaye Bridges, 24, suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head while sitting in a car around 12:36 a.m. Monday at the 7Eleven on Buchanan Road. A 27yearold man who was sitting in the car with Bridges was taken to the hospital with nonserious injuries and was later released.

Randle and Bridges were recently estranged partners and shared custody of their infant son, who is now in the custody of family members, police said. Authorities searched Randle’s Oakland home and allegedly found more than 20 firearms.

The Contra Costa County district attorney’s office on Thursday charged Randle with murder, attempted murder, shooting into an occu

pied vehicle and firearms enhancements, police said. He was being held at the County Jail in Martinez with bail set at $6 million.

On Monday, authorities arrested 27yearold Alfonzo Lavell Blake on suspicion of killing a man and injuring a bystander during a dice game on the night of May 18 in Antioch, authorities said.

An argument broke out during the game between Blake and 36yearold Kenneth Lee McClain, according to the Antioch police.

Blake allegedly shot and killed McClain and injured a 23yearold man before stealing a gold chain necklace from another person and fleeing on foot.

McClain succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the injured man was taken to the hospital and later released.

Over the past several months, Antioch police enlisted the help of the U.S. Marshals Service to track Blake to his Vallejo residence, where they arrested him Tuesday.

Contra Costa County prosecutors charged Blake on Thursday with a “special circumstance” murder for a slaying in connection with a robbery, police said. He is being held at the County Jail in Martinez without bail.
