Fashion plunge

-

fourth-quarter Stitch Fix reported loss of $44.5 a fiscal million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The San Francisco company said it translated to a loss of 44 cents per share, far worse than Wall

Street had expected. Analysts were looking for the online clothing styling service to lose 18 cents per share. However, Stitch

Fix posted revenue of $443.4 million in the period, which beat forecasts of analysts, who expected revenue of $415.3 million.

For the year, the company lost $67.1 million on revenue of $1.71 billion. Stitch Fix shares closed up almost 8% Tuesday at $31.38, then fell nearly 15% in after-hours trading.
