Gonzaga women seen as WCC’s best

Gonzaga received seven of the 10 firstplace votes to finish with 79 points, ahead of BYU ( two firstplace votes, 73 points) and Portland ( one, 64). St. Mary’s was picked fifth with Santa Clara and USF in ninth and 10th, respectively. On Monday, the Gonzaga men were the overwhelming choice of the coaches to win the WCC title.
