Residences at an equestrian resort at the capital

South Street Partners, whose portfolio includes luxury residences in South Carolina, are curating a collection of bespoke homes in a superlativ­e resort the nation’s capital.

The Residences at Salamander feature 49 upscale abodes within the Salamander Resort & Spa, a Washington, D. C. destinatio­n with 200 acres of rolling, protected oldgrowth forestry with the Blue Ridge Mountain range in the background.

“Residences at Salamander is a lowdensity, protected community in a beautiful, natural setting with a temperate climate,” said Chris Randolph, a partner at South Street Partners. “Being able to get outside and recreate with friends and family in a safe, socially distanced manner is incredibly important to buyers today. We are also designing homes with larger and more flexible home office setups, and are always focused on creating residences that live harmonious­ly indoors and outdoors.”

Homes rest on lots ranging in size from 0.4 to 1.3 acres. The Residences at Salamander is broken into two neighborho­ods, the Stables and the Vineyards. The elegant homes offer between 3,500 and 5,500 square feet of living space and enjoy embellishm­ents likes gas fireplaces, hardwood flooring and French doors opening to inviting patios.

South Street Partners paid particular attention to the design, which is reflected through a contempora­ry floor plan with ample opportunit­ies for indoor/ outdoor living. The sensible flow ensures a seamless connection to the natural world throughout the year.

The resort’s expansive grounds also includes a fullservic­e equestrian center, as well as miles of hiking and biking trails and both indoor and outdoor pools. There’s also a a zipline course, tennis courts, a putting green and abundant opportunit­ies to gather and recreate.

Owners at Residences at Salamander will receive the benefits and services of the Salamander Resort & Spa, including its 24hour concierge service, room service, overnight accommodat­ion preferred rates and member discounts at Salamander’s dining, spa and other resort activities. Residences also earn exclusive perks and privileges at acclaimed local venues including, The Club at Creighton Farms and RdV Vineyards.

When not in residence, owners may choose to add their home to the rental program available through the Salamander Resort. This allows them to supplement their income and reap financial rewards when not occupying the residence.
