Carr hoping to face Dolphins on Saturday

-

Quarterback Derek Carr hopes not to miss a start for the Las Vegas Raiders after leaving Thursday’s game with a groin injury.

Carr practiced on a limited basis Tuesday, five days after leaving a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers with the injury in the first quarter. He shared time with backup Marcus Mariota at practice as the Raiders ( 77) prepare for Saturday night’s game against Miami.

“I’ve been in here every day that we’re allowed to get treatment and all those kind of things, doing all my tests and all of that,” Carr said. “I want everybody watching so they know that I’m telling them exactly how I feel.”

Carr has a history of playing through injuries, missing two starts in seven NFL seasons.

The Raiders have little to play for after losing four of five games to spoil a promising start, as they have slim playoff hopes.

Haskins sorry: Washington quarterback D wayne Haskins apologized Tuesday after photos came to light of him partying with people unmasked after playing Sunday.

Haskins said on Twitter he spoke with head coach Ron Rivera and took full responsibility for putting the team at risk during the pandemic.

“It was irresponsible and immature of me and I accept responsibility for my action,” Haskins said.

The team is aware of the situation and said it’s handling it internally.

Gordon’s setback: A day after receiver Josh Gordon had again apparently joined the Seahawks, his return to the field has been put on hold after he was reported to have a setback in his battle with substance abuse.

The Seattle Times learned Tuesday that the NFL had told Gordon and the Seahawks that Gordon had not satisfied the terms of his conditional reinstatement from suspension.
