Jared Butler scored 25 points before fouling out, Davion Mitchell hit the goahead basket in overtime and the visiting Bears clinched the Big 12 regularsea­son championsh­ip, their first regularsea­son title since they won the 1950 Southwest Conference championsh­ip.

“Probably the No. 1 moment ever at Baylor,” Butler said.

Baylor (191, 111) had taken its first loss of this season at Kansas on Saturday.

“When you lose, it’s just like a stormy cloud over your head,” Butler said. “Everywhere you go, everything is not the same.

“This win and what we accomplish­ed at Baylor is going to change the whole mood of the program. It gives us our confidence back.”

Taz Sherman came off the bench to score a careerhigh 26 points for the Mountainee­rs (177, 105).

#4 Illinois 76, #2 Michigan 53: Trent Frazier scored 22 points and the visiting Illini (196, 154 Big Ten) dismantled the Wolverines (182, 132). Illinois again played without injured Ayo Dosunmu.

#8 Alabama 70, Auburn 58: Jaden Shackelfor­d made five 3pointers on the way to 23 points as the host Crimson Tide (206, 152 SEC) got past the Tigers (1214, 611).

#12 Arkansas 101, South

Carolina 73: Moses Moody tied his career high with 28 points and the visiting Razorbacks (205, 124 SEC) blitzed the Gamecocks (613, 411).

#15 Texas 81, Iowa State 67:

Kai Jones came off the bench to score a seasonhigh 17 points and the visiting Longhorns (157, 96 Big 12) dusted the Cyclones (219, 016), who got 22 points from Jalen ColemanLan­ds.

#18 Texas Tech 69, TCU 49:

Kyler Edwards scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half to help the host Red Raiders (168, 87 Big 12) roll past the Horned Frogs (1211, 59).

#23 Purdue 73, #25 Wisconsin 69:

Freshman Zach Edey scored a personalhi­gh 21 points as the host Boilermake­rs (178, 126 Big Ten) held off the Badgers (1610, 109).
