Maud Pearson Green

Resident of El Cerrito, CA Maud Pearson Green passed away on Feb. 28th in Richmond, CA. Maud was born in Virginia to Peter and Elizabeth Pearson, she was the youngest of 13 children. Maud had a wealth of education in the Science field, worked as a microbiolo­gist in the east bay before returning to UC Berkeley where she earned her Master’s in educ.

Maud found that her true calling was as an educator, where she worked in the San Francisco school district for many years. She worked as vice principal and principal of Lowell High School in San Francisco, where she touched the lives of many young people. Maud was a member of many organizati­ons, including The AKA Alpha Nu Omega, Oakland chapter.

She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Elizabeth Pearson, eleven siblings and her beloved husband Bill Green. She is survived by one sister, Bernice Arnetta, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends. Maud will be sorely missed by all who knew & loved her.

In lieu of flowers, there will be a scholarshi­p fund created in the name of Maud Pearson Green. You may contribute to the scholarshi­p fund or a charitable organizati­on of your choice.
