Kings sweep season series against Celtics

Richaun Holmes had 25 points, 11 rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals, and the Kings won in Boston 10796 Friday night and earned their first season sweep of the Celtics since 2007.

“Tonight is just an example for people to see in a win what he’s been doing for us all season long,” said Sacramento forward Harrison Barnes, who had 15 points and 13 rebounds. “A lot of that is overshadow­ed by how we’ve been playing as a team. But he’s been a defensive anchor for us all season.“

Jaylen Brown had 19 points and 11 rebounds for Boston, which lost for the fourth time in five games to again fall below .500. The Kings outscored Boston 2515 in the fourth quarter.

“You have to be so engaged to win an NBA game. When you’re not, you don’t. We’re not,” Boston head coach Brad Stevens said. “It’s got to be 17 guys dying to play well together, and I think the fun follows that.”

Pacers 137, Heat 110: Malcolm Brogdon scored 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting and Indiana won in Miami.

Jazz 115, Raptors 112: Donovan Mitchell scored eight of his 31 points in the final minute-and-a-half to lead Utah to a win over Toronto in Tampa.

Trail Blazers 125, Mavericks 119: CJ McCollum scored 32 points, Damian Lillard had 31 and Portland got past visiting Dallas .

Suns 113, Timberwolv­es 101: Chris Paul scored 20 points, Devin Booker added 16 and host Phoenix bounced back from a loss to Minnesota the night before.

Tucker to Bucks: P.J. Tucker was traded to Milwaukee , an addition for the team’s playoff push. The Bucks announced Friday that they had acquired Tucker as well as guard Rodions Kurucs from the Rockets and had sent guard D.J. Augustin plus forward D.J. Wilson to Houston. As part of the trade, the Bucks gave up their 2021 and 2023 first-round picks and got back their own 2022 firstround pick and the Rockets’ 2021 second-round selection.

Ariza to Heat: More than a year removed from his most recent NBA game, Trevor Ariza joined Miami this week after being traded by Oklahoma City. The Heat are the 10th team for which the 35-year-old will play. Miami swung the deal for Ariza on Wednesday, sending the Thunder a secondroun­d pick. Meyers Leonard was also part of the trade to make the salarymatc­hing component work.
