Danzante Bay resort in Mexico offers luxurious villas
Hart Howerton, an architectural design firm based in San Francisco and New York, is once again helping bring luxury to a beachside community. This time it’s Danzante Bay at the Islands of Loreto, a 714acre masterplanned resort community overlooking the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.
Hart Howerton’s portfolio already includes lavish enclaves in Panama, Italy and Jamaica, as well as a number of destinations in the United States. Danzante Bay at the Islands of Loreto isn’t even the firm’s first project in Mexico. They’re also behind Hacienda in Los Cabos. This time they’ve thoughtfully cultivated the landscape on which luxurious villas will be built.
Danzante Bay is about 200 miles north of Los Cabos, located on the eastern coast of the Baja peninsula. The locale is known for its pristine beaches, shimmering waters and colonial buildings that date back as far at 1697.
Dubbed “Mexico’s No. 1 Beach Resort” by World Travel Award in 2016, the Islands of Loreto have long attracted tourists seeking tropical refuge. Danzante Bay aims to continue that legacy of excellence.
Home to the largest marine park in the world, Loreto boasts plenty of opportunities for sightseeing and adventure. The aquarium is a popular tourist destination, while volcanic islands dot the seascape. Massive rock formations reside beneath water, along with finger reefs and coral. Kayaking excursions are available, as well as guided tours on AllTerrain Vehicles.
Plenty of additional aquatic activities are available as well, like fishing, diving, snorkeling and wildlife watching.
Residences at Danzante Bay feature predesigned home plans from Kevin B. Howard Architects. They range in size from three to six bedrooms and offer between 2,900 to more than 6,000 square feet of living space. The units include open floor plans, with sliding glass walls that open to decks framing vistas of the Sea of Cortez and rocky outcroppings.
Decks with hot tubs provide the perfect respite after a day of adventure, while bespoke material palettes adorn the interiors.
The resort’s beach club will be exclusive to real estate owners only. It will come with 50 private moorings, capable of storing boats between 25 and 125 feet in length. Additionally, the owner’s private beach club will host a business center, event lawn, game room, restaurant, sport court, fitness center and a lap pool. The dockside store will provide a convenient place to buy boating supplies.
Five different neighborhoods reside within the Danzante Bay resort.
The lavish villas offer distinctive styling in a secluded setting. They are designed in the modern Baja style with an emphasis on indoor/outdoor living.
The Villa Danzante, for example, features an interior design defined by lightly toned timber and subtle curves. Villa Carmen residences come with a reverse floor plan, that is one that situates the public rooms on the upper level in order to maximize views.
Lastly, the Villa Catalina homes are grand, sixbedroom, sixbathroom masterpieces whose semicylindrical design captures views of the sea, a championship golf course and the cliffs.
