Ruth Senderling Wright

Children: Daniel (Eva), Michael (Eleni) and Thomas Wright (Debbie)

Grandchildren: Bonnie, Andrea, Ashley, Matthew and Nieces and Nephews

Greatgrandchildren: Kaelynn, Riley, Max

Ruth passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 97. Ruth lived in South San Francisco for the past 60 years inspired everyday by the beautiful views on Sign Hill and the San Francisco Bay front, which she loved.

Ruth was married to her late husband Raymond “Bud” Wright in 1954 in Philadelphia and later moved to South San Francisco CA.

Ruth was the most devoted Mother to her cherished children and grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as having kept a watchful eye on many generations of children at Martin School Elementary School for 20 years, who she delighting in seeing through the years around the City with their families and successful careers.

Along with the great love of her family, friends, Ruth was also an avid reader, loved animals, sports, music and dancing. During World War II, Ruth enjoyed the beautiful dances at the USO where she brought joy to the service personnel and made many a heart flutter with her kind spirit.

Ruth’s family would like to thank her longtime friend Helen for her weekly visits for many years.

Many many thanks to her long time caregiver Lini for her dedicated caregiving to Ruth.

One of Mom’s favorite quotes “I can’t be rushed” will remain in our joyful repertoire of her memory. We will say it often and remember our beloved Mother. Thank you for all your love Mom. You will be missed forever.

A service for Ruth will be held at the Garden Chapel at 885 El Camino Real, South San Francisco on Monday June 28, at 1pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please forward donations to the SPCA or Animal Shelters of your choice.
