Louise (Bertucci) Mason

October 26, 1932 - January 26, 2022

Louise passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the age of 89 years, surrounded by family. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, John, and three daughters Maura Freitas, Joanna (Mitchell) LeBlanc and Nicole (Scott) Common. She leaves behind 6 adored grandchildren, Hallie Freitas, Joey LeBlanc, Drew Common, Alexa Le Blanc, Lindsay LeBlanc, and Shane Common. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Tommaso Luigi Bertucci and Maria Teresa Stingi, her sisters Giuseppina (Jo) Lavandero and Marianna Boles and brother Vincenzo Bertucci. She leaves a sister, RoseMarie McKeon and many nieces and nephews, whom she cared very much for.

Louise was born in 1932 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She was the youngest of five children and spent her childhood years in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania. She moved to Miami, Florida in 1953, and in 1958 moved to California. She began working at TWA in San Francisco, where she met her husband

John. They were married in 1961 in San Francisco and settled in San Mateo to raise a family.

Louise worked as a Teacher’s Aide for 28 years at the San Mateo/Foster City School District, where she made lifelong friends. In May of 2021 Louise and John celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Her family and friends will miss her and will remember her lovely smile and kind heart.The family will hold a private mass in March in her memory.
