1961 - 2022

It is with profound grief and sadness that we announce the passing of Brad Webster on November 24, 2022, at the all too young age of 61. Brad grew up in Visalia, lived in Seattle for four years, lived on his yacht in San Rafael for four years, met his wife and moved to San Anselmo, then made his final home in Fairfax. At the age of 11 he began delivering auto parts by bike for the family’s business. He remained in the automotive industry his entire life, working the last 15 years for BBB Industries, a company he was very proud to be associated with. He loved his colleagues, his bosses Kim Nolan and Carl White, and his clients.

Brad had many interests, but if you asked him a question about rock and roll, guitars, any kind of car (but especially antique ones), or the Giants, you would need to pull up a seat. He made everyone he came in contact with feel they had a friend who was a good and interested listener.

Brad leaves behind his much adored but heartbroken wife, Mary Anne O’Keeffe, and his dearly beloved family—sister-in-law Lesa Bassi, brother-in-law and Godfather Eric Bassi, and niece and nephews, Shannon, Brendan (Rose), and Kevin, brother-in-law John O’Keeffe, sister-in-law Jennifer, niece Julia, and nephew John-John (as we call him). The Bassis and the extended O’Keeffe families all loved him immensely. He also leaves behind his sister Debbie Palser, her son Shawn, and his niece Mercedes (by his late sister Susan). Brad’s mother Shirle, sister Susan, and Mary Anne’s mother, Pat (who loved him like a son), are having a joyous reunion in heaven now.

When Brad became part of Mary Anne’s circle, he was instantly accepted and loved by everyone. Brad was a true treasure in this world. He was kind, considerate, loving, giving, fun, faithful, honorable, honest, hard-working, and, in the end, brave. If you needed him for anything, he would be there.

A special shout-out to “Team Unbreakable Brad” for all of your support and love. It truly meant the world to him to have you all behind him. Also, thanks to Marin Cancer Care staff Dr. Galligan, Stephanie D., and Brad’s favorite, the incomparable Mary Lou!

If so inclined, donations in his honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Shriner’s Hospital in San Francisco.

A viewing will be held on Friday December 2, 2022 at St. Anselm’s Catholic Church, 97 Shady Lane, Ross, CA at 6:30 p.m., followed by a vigil at 7:00 p.m. The funeral will be on Saturday December 3, 2022 at St. Anselm’s at 1:00 p.m.

He has gone no further from us than to God, and God is very near. Rest in Peace dear Brad and may God hold you in the palm of his hand until we meet again. Assisted by Monte’s Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo, CA.
