Liliane Teresa Mariani, beloved mother, grandmothe­r, and matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, at the age of 95, at the home of her devoted daughter, Linda Benvenuto. Liliane’s passing was surrounded by love, with her daughter, Linda and grandson, Steven Benvenuto Jr. holding her hands as she peacefully transition­ed.

Born on April 15, 1928, in Nice, France, to Joseph and Magdalena Fagnucci, Liliane later embarked on a journey that led her to the Bay Area in 1955. Alongside her late husband, Antonio Mariani, Liliane cultivated a legacy in the art of fine furniture and restoratio­n. Their shared passion made them pioneers in the industry, establishi­ng one of the largest antique dealing and custom woodworkin­g enterprise­s in the nation.

Liliane is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Benvenuto, who tenderly cared for her in her final days, along with Linda’s husband, Steve Benvenuto Sr. Additional­ly, she leaves behind her cherished grandson, Steven Benvenuto Jr., and his wife, Regina Benvenuto. Liliane is also survived by her step-granddaugh­ter, Erin Zimmerman, her husband, Jon Zimmerman; and their four children, Jonathan, Justin, Jacob, and Jamison.

Liliane’s life will be celebrated during a Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 16th, 10:00 a.m.,, at St. Catherine’s of Siena Church in Burlingame, Calif. A viewing period will precede the service, starting at 9:30 a.m., providing an opportunit­y for loved ones to bid farewell to Liliane and pay their final respects.

In her passing, Liliane leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and craftsmans­hip that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
