Ellen DeGeneres has extended the Bay Area run of her upcoming comedy tour “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up.”

The comic and former talk show host has added a third date to her stop at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa for July 2, “due to fan demand,” according to Live Nation. The newly announced date will follow previously scheduled June 30 and July 1 shows at the venue, where she opened her 2003 tour.

A ticket presale for the additional date is available now for Luther Burbank Center for the Arts members. The general sale begins at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26. While the June show is sold out, tickets are still available for July 1.

The tour is part of DeGeneres’ slow return to stand-up, following a February guest appearance at fellow comic Beth Stelling’s “Beth & Pals” Los Angeles show and a 2018

comedy tour, which marked Degeneres’ first in 15 years.

While DeGeneres kicked off her career in stand-up in the early 1980s, she soon moved into acting, most notably playing the first openly gay lead character of a television series in the ’90s sitcom “Ellen.”

Today, the comedian is best known for her talk show, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which won 64 Daytime Emmy Awards over its 19-year run. The show ended in 2022 after DeGeneres was accused of creating toxic workplace conditions and mistreating her staff.
