Palo Alto High team wins math honor

A teamof Palo Alto High math students was one of four schools to win the highest honor in the International High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling. The competing teams received a common problem in mid-April and five days to work together on it. Members were Kathryn Li, Allison Zhang, Eric Foster and Andrew Lee. They were advised by math supervisor Radu Toma. They won an expense-paid trip to Hong Kong in July to receive their award.
