Parish Publick House rides out the pandemic
A Westside neighborhood pub, The Parish Publick House Santa Cruz, offers great eats with an all inclusive environment that welcomes everyone to stop by and enjoy a burger and beer.
Parish Publick House offers a large variety of local breweries, but is doesn’t stop at beer, there is also whisky and Mezcal selections.
Owners Eric Granath, Joel Sawtell and Nate Myrick have had the Westside location, 841 Almar Ave. for more than 11 years and also own and operate an Aptos location that offers the same delicious menu.
Lets get down to the food. The wings, there is a variety of different flavors including Buffalo (my favorite), Honey Stung, Tangy Garlic, classic Teriyaki.
Start with wings, but save room for an a burger.
Grab the Filthy Freddy, a half pound burger stuffed with jalapenos and cream cheese then beer battered and deep fried — bring an appetite and iron tummy for this one. Or give their signature house burger a try, The Out and In, a classic burger topped with American cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, shredded romaine lettuce, and their house made thousand island dressing (my personal favorite).
Craving a soup with the cold weather? Get their new roasted broccoli and cheddar soup to warm you up.
Both Parish Publick House locations are offering take out and sit in options.Try the Lavender sour or Chamomile sour to go.
The Westside location is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. MondaySunday. The Aptos location is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday — Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
