Holiday closings

Some area offices will be closed for the New Year’s holiday.

• County: County offices are closed Thursday and Friday. Some offices will be on furlough Dec. 28-31.

• Santa Cruz: City offices are closed and will reopen Jan. 4.

• Capitola: City offices are closed and will reopen Jan. 4.

• Scotts Valley: City offices are closed and will reopen Jan. 4.

• Watsonville: Most city offices are closed and will reopen Jan. 4.

• Libraries: All branches of the Santa Cruz library curbside service will be closed and will reopen Jan. 4. The Watsonville Public Library’s curbside pickup service is closed and will reopen Jan. 4.

• Schools: There will be no student instruction in Pajaro Valley schools. Instruction resumes Jan. 12. There will be no student instruction in Santa Cruz City Schools. Instruction resumes Jan. 6.

• Post office: Post offices are closed Friday.

• Santa Cruz Metro: Weekday service on Thursday. No Local bus service on Friday. Metro Paracruz: Weekday service on Thursday. Metro Paracruz: weekend schedule on Friday. Amtrak Highway 17: Weekday service on Thursday. No Amtrak Highway 17 service on Friday
