Coffee Conspiracy Co. heads to East Cliff
“Exposing the best coffee” is owner Eddie Alaniz’s tagline for Coffee Conspiracy Co. to bring to the frontline the hidden treasures of the coffee industry.
Alaniz started his own coffee business during shelter-in-place orders after he was laid off. Using his 20 years of coffee experiences from consulting and barista training, Alaniz brings his knowledge and passion for coffee to the Santa Cruz community.
He serves one product, and serves it up cold and frothy. The Nitro cold brew is the king of cold brew coffees. Hand picking each unique single origin batch from a micro roaster, and switching them out every four to five weeks for another hand-selected batch. You can have the coffee straight up, add oat milk, or add some of his housemade vegan vanilla syrup made with real Madagascar vanilla beans.
Alaniz has been grinding beans nonstop, only taking a break from selling coffee during the fire in the Santa Cruz Mountains. At that time, Alaniz paused his business to donate more than 500 bottles of coffee to first responders including 911 dispatchers and local fire stations to help charge them each day.
Find Alaniz on an outfitted coffee bike on East Cliff Drive most days from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. depending on weather and coffee sales. He usually hangs out around 38th and East Cliff Drive, mask on ready to serve customers from the tap. Park your car. Go for a walk. Grab a cold cup of the delicious Nitro cold brew from Coffee Conspiracy Co.
The best way to keep up with Alaniz’s schedule is by following him on Instagram @coffeeconspiracyco.
