Santa Cruz County Friends of the Rail & Trail on Thursday announced the election of Faina Segal as new board chair, according to a release from the organization. Segal will serve for the next year.

Segal, raised in Watsonville, is passionate about improving access to opportunities for students in South County. She joined the Friends of the Rail & Trail Board of Directors in 2019.
