District accepts registration for fall
The Scotts Valley Unified School District welcomes new families and is accepting registration (including interdistrict transfers) for all schools, according to a release from the district. Scotts Valley Schools continue to be some of the highest performing schools in the county. Scotts Valley Middle School (SVMS) welcomes students to a recently renovated campus and relevant and challenging curriculum and electives, Scotts Valley High School offers the International Baccalaureate program as well as an alternative academy, K Street, for juniors and seniors, and Brook Knoll and Vine Hill Elementary Schools offer full-day Kindergarten and halfday Transitional Kindergarten.

Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2021, to be eligible to register for Kindergarten. Children qualify for Transitional Kindergarten if their fifth birthday falls from Sept. 2 and Dec. 2, 2016. Transitional Kindergarten follows a traditional half-day scheduled with staggered start and end times.
