Hartnell College to host Monterey County STEM Talent Expo

Event will feature Keynote Speaker Driscoll’s Chief of Staff Jenét DeCosta

Hartnell College will host the Monterey County STEM Talent Expo, which connects businesses with students and community members looking for opportunit­ies in Science, Technology, Engineerin­g, and Mathematic­s (STEM) from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Hartnell College. Keynote speaker for the expo is Jenét DeCosta, Chief of Staff at Driscoll’s.

This exciting, free, oneday event will connect STEM industry leaders to talented students, former students, and community members who are looking for opportunit­ies to further their education and career opportunit­ies in the fields of Science, Technology,

Engineerin­g, and Mathematic­s (STEM).

With a proven background in program and change management, DeCosta is responsibl­e for board and shareholde­r relations, global internal communicat­ions, and charitable giving. Before joining Driscoll’s in 2012, she worked for the American Red Cross Biomedical Services Penn-Jersey region.

In 2022, DeCosta was appointed to the California State Board of Food & Agricultur­e. She received her degree in Internatio­nal Business from Ramapo College in New Jersey. She and her partner Scott reside in Santa Cruz County, where she is active in her community.
