Love Thy Neighbor The Love Train Diner is open for business as Season 4 of this family comedy series premieres with the new episode “Locked Out,” which finds Linda (Kendra C. Johnson) worried that Danny (Andre Hall) is spending too much time isolating himself in his apartment.

Ransom The title of the new episode “Girl on a Train” describes the object of the team’s rescue mission, a young woman who did indeed vanish from a locomotive. Locating and retrieving her could get complicated if her parents’ fear that she was taken by human traf- fickers proves true. Luke Roberts, Sarah Greene, Nazneen Contractor and Brandon Jay McLaren star.

Movie: X-Men: Apocalypse This ninth entry in this Marvel franchise finds Professor X and Raven (James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence) leading a team of young X-Men, pictured, to stop the mutant Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) from destroying mankind, an endeavor that will require the mutants to set aside their differences in this 2016 action movie.

5 10:30 p.m. on NBC

Saturday Night Live An Oscar winner for The Help, Octavia Spencer becomes a firsttime SNL host after being nominated again for the movie world’s highest honor for Hidden Figures. Here, she joins regular cast members including Kenan Thompson, Kate McKinnon, Bobby Moynihan and Leslie Jones. Father John Misty is the musical guest.
