MONTEZUMA LODGE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Montezuma Lodge 1 is now accepting applications from any senior in the immediate Santa Fe area. All seniors are eligible to apply for the $2,000 scholarships, and if chosen can use the money toward their tuition, books, supplies, or room and board. NORTHERN PRESIDENT GIVES STATE OF THE COLLEGE ADDRESS
Northern New Mexico College President Rick Bailey will give his second quarterly State of the College Address on both campuses — El Rito and Española — this week. The purpose of the presentations is to give
the community an update on the latest news about the college and solicit ideas on how to make the college stronger as it moves forward. Students, faculty, staff
and community members are invited.
Bailey will speak at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, in Alumni Hall of the El Rito campus off N.M. 554. He will also speak at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at the Nick Salazar Center for the Arts on the Española campus at 921 Paseo de Oñate.
WORKSHOP FOR MATH TUTORS
The Interfaith Coalition for Public Education, in tandem with several other local educational groups, offers a workshop for middle and high-school math tutors from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 29. The event, held at the Higher Education Center at 1950 Siringo Rd. (near Santa Fe High School), will teach tutors best practices and help expand recruitment efforts into the Santa Fe community. MILAGRO MIDDLE SCHOOL DROP-IN
Parents and students interested in an update on the Milagro Middle School, which will open on the campus of De Vargas Middle School on Llano Street in the autumn of 2018, can visit with principal Marc Du Charme during a Milagro Middle School drop-in event from at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29. The event takes place at the campus of Capshaw Middle School at 351 W. Zia Road.
NEXT SFPS SCHOOL BOARD MEETING IN APRIL
Santa Fe Public Schools’ board of education holds its next school board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the district’s Educational Services Center, 610 Alta Vista St. The agenda should be posted 72 hours in advance and can be found at www.sfps.info.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE RESOURCE FAIR
The Santa Fe Community College hosts a career, education and training resource fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 in the main hallway and Jemez Rooms of the main administration building on campus at 6401 Richards Ave. More than 60 employer representatives from local, regional and national businesses related to a variety of professions will be present.
