6 p.m. on FREE Young & Hungry

Gabi and Josh (Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski) land a chance to dog-sit the spoiled-rotten pooch of a celebrity lifestyle guru, but this being a sitcom, you can bet that they make some boneheaded decisions in the new episode “Young & Kiki.” Elsewhere, Elliot (Rex Lee) isn’t able to deliver the VIP concert tickets he promised to Sofia and Yolanda (Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley), so he falls back on a desperate Plan B to deceive them.

7 p.m. on The CW Supergirl

Filmmaker Kevin Smith

(Clerks) has dabbled in directing The CW’s superhero series, and he does so again with the new episode “Distant Sun,” which finds Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) a wanted woman as aliens invade National City to claim the bounty issued for her. President Marsdin (recurring guest star Lynda Carter) has plans for Hank (David Harewood).

8 p.m. on A&E Bates Motel

A special guest checks into the motel in a new episode called “Marion” — as in Crane, the ill-fated guest played by Janet Leigh in Alfred Hitchcock’s film “Psycho,” played here by Rihanna in a guest role. Elsewhere, Dylan (Max Thieriot, pictured) is sent reeling by some devastating news, and Sam and Madeleine’s (Austin Nichols, Isabelle McNally) marriage reaches a dramatic crossroads. Freddie Highmore also stars.

8:30 p.m. on CBS The Great Indoors

Jack (Joel McHale) isn’t happy when a former colleague and current enemy — played by guest star Chris D’Elia (Undateable) — serves a guest-editor stint at the magazine in the new episode “Aaron Wolf.” Now the popular host of a television reality show, the visitor captivates the Millennials, making Jack even more enraged by his presence.

9 p.m. on ABC Quantico

“Fake news.” It’s not that the phrase hasn’t been used enough lately, but this series also delves into it in the new episode “MOCKINGBIRD,” as Owen (Blair Underwood) spearheads the probe of a story that may not be entirely truthful. The leader (guest star Hunter Parrish) of the newly assembled task force gets to know the CIA and FBI agents involved.
