The new episode “Knockouts, Part 3” continues the stage at which teammates are pitted against each other, with only one being kept by their coach — whose rival coaches then can “steal” the contestant who’s let go for their own teams. A “Road to the Live Shows” episode, recapping the show’s season to date, airs Tuesday.
2 7 p.m. on DSC Street Outlaws
In the aftermath of a recent race against Richard Rawlings and the crew for Fast n’ Loud, Big Chief returns to Oklahoma City to reassert his dominance as a new season of this show opens. The game changes somewhat this season as Pro Mods — cars that have been modified expressly for track use — no longer are allowed. That forces some of the experienced drivers such as Big Chief to find a new car and start from the bottom to climb back into Oklahoma City’s top 10 list of street racers.
3 8 p.m. on PBS
American Experience The 100th anniversary of America’s entry into World War I is marked by the new miniseries The Great
War, airing nightly through Wednesday. The opening installment recalls President Woodrow Wilson’s determination to keep the United States neutral in the Europe-based conflict, but volunteers rushed to engage in the battle anyway. Among those voicing the words of participants are Blythe Danner, Courtney B. Vance, Campbell Scott and Christopher Gorham.
4 8 p.m. on AMC Better Call Saul
Much as Breaking Bad was about a high-school teacher who transformed himself into Scarface, this prequel continues its chronicle of how basically nice-guy small-time lawyer Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk, pictured) devolves into the soulless and corrupt
Bad” attorney Saul Goodman, who takes on Walter White as a client. Tonight’s Season 3 premiere picks up as Chuck’s (Michael McKean) scheme to sabotage his brother makes it tough for Jimmy and Kim (Rhea Seahorn) to get their law practice off the ground.
5 8:30 p.m. on TBS Angie Tribeca
The executive producers of this cop show spoof fearlessly predict fans will find Season 3 “among the top three seasons of the show so far,” as Tribeca, Giles and Tanner (Rashida Jones, Hayes MacArthur, Deon Cole) undertake the pursuit of an animal-rights activist turned serial killer. It’s a case that takes them to New Orleans, New York, Miami and even outer space.
