Santa Fe New Mexican

Kelly Ripa: She’s out there, she’s saying things. What’s she been saying lately? Let’s check in.

The daytime TV host, it turns out, is newly an enormous advocate for The Inn of the Five Graces, the Capitol-area hotel where she stayed with her husband on a recent vacation.

Ripa loves The Inn of the Five Graces.

It is like the opposite of Michael Strahan.

Ripa raved about the hotel and Santa Fe (but mostly the hotel) on air for a few minutes last week on Live, displaying photos of her room to the oohing and aahing of co-host John Leguizamo and viewers. (You can watch the clip on the Mitote blog.)

Ripa whips out pics of the courtyard, the tilework, the bedroom, the bathroom — where she and her husband, actor Mark Conseulos, took a bath together.

“We were like kings and queens,” Ripa bubbles.

“Why’d you come back? I woulda never came back,” Leguizamo says.

“I was crying yesterday!” Ripa replies. “I don’t blame you,” he said. True, Santa Fe is better than New York. This is not fake news.

“Everybody’s like, ‘Are you gonna show us the rest of Santa Fe?’ ” Ripa says, pulling out another hotel photo. “Nope, I really focused on the room!”

Ripa did leave the inn eventually; later on in the show she mentioned she and Conseulos visited Raaga, the terrific Indian restaurant on Agua Fría, where they met chef Paddy Rawal.

“It was such a nice vacation,” she says.

And her travel talk was no doubt of use to Leguizamo, who said he’ll soon arrive in Santa Fe himself.

He’s got a role in the star-studded miniseries Waco now filming in the area. Wonder where he’ll stay.
