May 2, 1992: The Santa Fe Ski Co. will not get a property tax refund as company officials had hoped.
State District Court Judge Art Encinias Friday dismissed a lawsuit filed by the company against Santa Fe County to recover nearly $64,000 in property taxes it paid to the county. Company attorneys had alleged in court documents that county assessors overvalued improvements at the 590-acre ski area during a three-year period from 1989 to 1991.
Encinias said the company failed to hand over financial documents to the county, as ordered by the court.
