“Be kind to yourselves, to your family and friends, and to those with whom you come into contact in the future. Kindness is a true catalyst to make our world better. We have lost members of our Jaguar Family to suicide and addiction. This is unacceptable. If you are feeling down and need someone to talk to, we will continue to be here for you. If someone reaches out to you, talk to him or her. If you need help, or someone to talk to, reach out. The Jaguar Family does not end when you graduate, we are always here for you. Also, stay away from drugs, don’t drink and drive, always wear your seat belts, don’t speed, and wear sunscreen every day. You are now entering a life competition. The competition is not against your fellow graduates. You are now competing against every other high school graduate in the nation and the world. Set goals for yourself and work every day to achieve them. You are all fantastic little humans and I have been honored to be your principal. Thank you. Remember that even though you are leaving Capital High School, this will always be your home, and you are always welcome to come back home.” — Principal Channell Wilson-Segura
