Improving lives
When you have a program evaluator from the Legislative Finance Committee, Maria Griego, recommending which treatments traumatized children with mental and behavior issues should receive (“Spending on traumatized N.M. children under scrutiny,” June 8), you get: “Keep them in their homes, in their communities … it is a more cost-efficient way to handle children’s behavior[ial] health.”
Keep the children in the environment that created the issues to begin with. Really?
Ms. Griego, I recommend you to stick with finance and let the medical professionals treat and work on improving the lives and well-being of these traumatized children. Christina Belamarich
