Rik Blyth has been named general manager of La Fonda on the Plaza.

Blyth served as general manager for world-class resort properties across the Caribbean, including Rose Hall in Jamaica, Biras Creek in the British Virgin Islands, and Caneel Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He also has served as president of the U.S. Virgin Islands Hotel and Tourism Associatio­n. In addition, he has managed numerous major market hotels coast-to-coast for both the Hyatt Hotel Corp. and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. Most recently, he served as general manager at the Hyatt Regency Newport Resort and Spa in Newport, R.I. Prior to that position, Blyth was general manager at Chicago’s Renaissanc­e North Shore.

Originally from Wisconsin, Blyth earned a Bachelor of Arts in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is a Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Chicago Cubs fan.

Trinity Capital Corp. has named Thomas Dolan to the position of chief financial officer.

Dolan joined Trinity’s subsidiary, Los Alamos National Bank as senior financial officer in April 2017 and was appointed chief financial officer of the bank on June 19.

Dolan is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago and received a MBA from the University of Chicago with a concentrat­ion in finance. He has held various positions over the years but most recently was employed as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Anchor Bank based out of Madison, Wis., and its successor, Old National Bank.

Associatio­n of Commerce and Industry President and CEO Jason Espinoza joined his peers from other states in the nation’s capital for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition State Leaders Summit, where they discussed the importance of internatio­nal trade to the nation, especially to individual states.

The USGLC advocates and educates for a strong and effective Internatio­nal Affairs Budget.

Leadership Santa Fe and Youth Leadership Santa Fe classes of 2017 graduated May 9 at The Lodge at Santa Fe.

The 2017 program, held in associatio­n with Los Alamos National Bank and the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, worked with 29 up-and-coming movers and shakers. They came together for nine months to develop personal leadership capacity, while looking at community issues such as economic developmen­t, health, youth and education, nonprofit leadership and government, with a focus on being better able to contribute to the community upon leaving the program.
