Jane Lynch and Phil Keoghan are hosts for this highly anticipated two-hour special, which takes viewers to several key locations across six continents as world-class cinematographers use cutting-edge technologies to showcase unprecedented wildlife footage. The horror series breaks for its midseason hiatus after tonight’s two new back-toback episodes. First, in “The Unveiling,” a new arrival at the ranch soon creates a schism among the community, while Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) forms a new relationship, hoping to maintain the peace. Then, in “Children of Wrath,” Madison (Kim Dickens) is forced to negotiate the terms of an agreement while she’s surrounded by widespread turmoil. 3 7 p.m. on SPIKE One Night Only: Alec Baldwin Alec Baldwin, pictured, is the guest of honor for this latest black-tie event — filmed last month at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem — featuring tributes from the Emmy-winning actor’s friends and colleagues. Less crude and combative than the celebrity roasts you can find elsewhere, this new twohour special includes comedy, film packages, music, anecdotes and a few surprises.

Can one of the most popular mobile games “Crush” it in a television version? The answer may be furnished by this series premiere, as host Mario Lopez puts players to tests revolving around gigantic game boards — with plenty of technology involved — in matching candies based on their colors.

5 10 p.m. on HBO The Defiant Ones

The story of the improbable yet influential partnership of Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre is chronicled in this new fourpart documentary series, which premieres tonight and continues through Wednesday. Their impact on the music world and the contemporary culture at large is examined through interviews with both men, as well as such influential figures as Bono, David Geffen, Eminem, Nas, Stevie Nicks, Ice Cube, Bruce Springsteen, Gwen Stefani, Diddy, will.i.am. and Snoop Dogg.
