6 p.m. on FOOD Dessert Games Pastry wizard Duff Goldman takes over Guy Fieri’s Triple G Flavor town Market, the grocery store set that normally is featured on Guy’s Grocery Games, for this sweet variation on that culinary game show. Each week Goldman tests the skills of four pastry chefs, who must shop, prepare and plate confectionary creations in a series of challenges. The chef who most impresses a rotating panel of judges earns of grand prize of $10,000.
7 p.m. on AMC Preacher A new episode called “Viktor” finds Jesse (Dominic Cooper) pursuing an unexpected lead he has stumbled upon, leading him deeper into his search for God, accompanied by the vampire Jesse (Joseph Gilgun).
7 p.m. on TNT Will While it may evoke memories of the witty Oscar-winning film Shakespeare in Love, this new period drama series takes a somewhat edgier approach to its depiction of William Shakespeare’s early adult years. Newcomer Laurie Davidson, pictured, stars as the young Bard of Avon, who arrives in 16th-century London and impetuously plunges into the city’s “punk-rock theater scene.” Olivia DeJonge, Jamie Campbell Bower and Colm Meaney also star. Another episode follows.
8 p.m. on DEST Ghosts of Shepherdstown Season 1 of this paranormal series concluded with a cleansing ceremony on the banks of the Potomac River, intended to lift the “witches’ curse” from this West Virginia town. And it seemed to work, at least within the city limits. Soon, however, Police Chief Michael King started getting reports of eerie activity in neighboring communities.
