Stella Sandoval of Santa Fe was called to be with our Lord on Friday July 7, 2017. Stella was born on August 25th, 1924 to Adolfo and Eloisa Vigil Rodriguez. Stella married the love of her life Ernesto Sandoval on October 15th, 1945 after he returned from WWII. They had seven children and accomplish­ed many of their dreams together. Stella was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmothe­r and she will be greatly missed by all. Stella was a dedicated homemaker, a talented seamstress and substitute teacher for the Santa Fe Public schools. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernesto Sandoval, beloved son Raymond Sandoval, Parents Adolfo and Eloisa Vigil Rodriguez, second mother Pacifica Rodriguez, and sister Jenny Chavez. She is survived by her children, Ernesto Jr. (Cindy); Richard (Penny); Daniel (Patsy), Eloise (Jose), Rebecca (Frank), Angela (Scott); 19 grandchild­ren, 51 great-grandchild­ren and 20 great-great grandchild­ren; and many special nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearer­s: Ernest Jr. Sandoval, Richard Sandoval, Daniel Sandoval, Miguel Sandoval, Francisco Martinez and Roy Sandoval. Visitation will begin on Tuesday evening at 6 pm, July 11th at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Santa Fe, NM followed by a Rosary that will be prayed at 7pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10 am, also at St Anne’s Church. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. A reception will be held immediatel­y following at the St. Anne’s Parish Hall.
