Northwest

ABIQUIÚ LAKE: Fishing was fair using crank baits, tubes, salt craws, curly tail grubs, crawdad imitation flies and night crawlers for smallmouth bass. Fishing for walleye was slow to fair for anglers using minnows, leeches, bottom bouncer night crawler rigs and jig and grub combinatio­ns. Fishing was slow to fair using PowerBait for trout. BLUEWATER LAKE: Fishing for trout was slow but a few were caught by anglers using PowerBait and worms. Fishing was slow to fair using, swim baits, Rapala X-Raps and big flies for tiger muskies. BRAZOS RIVER: Fishing was good using copper John Barrs, Fire Balls and worms for trout. CHAMA RIVER: Monday morning water flows below El Vado and Abiquiú were 153 cfs and 277 cfs respective­ly. Fishing above and below El Vado was good using wooly buggers, small midge patterns, night crawlers, Fire Balls and PowerBait for brown and rainbow trout. COCHITI LAKE: Fishing was good using corn for carp. Fishing was slow to fair using crank baits, swim baits and jerk baits for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. Fishing was fair using hotdogs, shrimp and homemade dough bait for catfish. EL VADO LAKE: Fishing continued to be very good using Mepps spinners, Panther Martins, tubes, grubs and worms for smallmouth bass. Fishing was fair using worms and crunch craws for perch. FENTON LAKE: Fishing was slow. A few trout were caught by anglers using Pistol Petes, salmon eggs, worms and PowerBait. HERON LAKE: Bank fishing was good using assorted flavors and colors of PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout. A few kokanee salmon and rainbow trout were caught by anglers trolling with spinners tipped with corn in the Ridge Rock and Piedra Cove areas. JEMEZ WATERS: Trout fishing on the Jemez was slow. Fishing on the Rio Guadalupe was fair using small dry flies for brown trout. LAGUNA DEL CAMPO: Fishing was fair to good using Pistol Petes under a bubble and PowerBait for trout. MANZANO LAKE: Fishing was fair using PowerBait for trout. NAVAJO LAKE: Fishing was good using finesse worms, tubes, jigs, curly tail grubs, crawdad flies, crank baits and chatter baits for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass up to 4.5 pounds. Fishing was fair using swim baits, jerk baits, chatter baits and crank baits for northern pike. Fishing for kokanee salmon was slow. SAN JUAN RIVER: Trout fishing through the Quality Waters was very good using San Juan worms, RS2s, crystal flash emergers, chocolate foam wing emergers, dead chickens, small bead-head pheasant tail nymphs and red and cream larva. Through the bait waters, anglers did well using San Juan worms, Chernobyl ants, copper John Barrs, salmon eggs, PowerBait, night crawlers, Panther Martin spinners and Yozuri pins minnows. SEVEN SPRINGS BROOD POND: Fishing was good using PowerBait, salmon eggs, worms and Pistol Petes for trout. TINGLEY BEACH: Fishing for catfish was slow with just a few caught by anglers using homemade baits and shrimp. Fishing was slow to fair using worms for bluegill. A few largemouth bass were caught by anglers using crank baits, tubes and worms.

Northeast

CLAYTON LAKE: Fishing was good using chicken liver and worms for catfish. Fishing was slow to fair using spoons, PowerBait, salmon eggs and worms for trout. CIMARRON LAKE: Trout fishing was fair to good using brassies, Cimarron specials, olive and brown caddis, yellow sallies, salmon eggs and PowerBait. Fishing at the Gravel Pit Lakes was good using Pistol Petes, PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout. CONCHAS LAKE: Fishing was fair to good using finesse worms, swim baits, curly tail grubs, jerk baits, crank baits top water lures and tubes for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass. Night fishing was fair to good using shrimp, cut bait and liver for catfish. COWLES POND: Fishing was very good using worms, PowerBait and salmon eggs for trout. EAGLE ROCK LAKE: Fishing was good using PowerBait, Fire Balls, worms, Pistol Petes, Panther Martins and Super Dupers for trout. EAGLE NEST LAKE: Trout fishing was fair for some and slow for others this past week. Best reports came from anglers using PowerBait and Platte River specials. Fishing was very good using worms for perch. GALLINAS RIVER: Trout fishing was good using salmon eggs, worms, hoppers and copper John Barrs. HOPEWELL LAKE: Fishing was fair using Fire Balls, worms and PowerBait for rainbow trout. LAKE MALOYA: Fishing was good using Pistol Petes, Super Dupers, parachute Adams, PowerBait and Fire Balls for trout. The best reports came from anglers using Pistol Petes. LOS PIÑOS RIVER: Fishing was good using copper John Barrs, salmon eggs and worms for rainbow and brown trout. MONASTERY LAKE: Fishing was good using Kastmaster­s, Pistol Petes, hoppers, elk hair caddis and PowerBait for trout. PECOS RIVER: Streamflow near Pecos on Monday was 93 cfs. Fishing was good using Fire Balls, PowerBait, worms, San Juan worms, prince nymphs, elk hair caddis and Panther Martins for trout. RED RIVER: Stream flow below the hatchery on Monday was 97.4 cfs. Fishing was very good using salmon eggs, worms, egg patterns and midge imitations for trout. RIO GRANDE: Stream flow on Monday at the Taos Junction Bridge was 528 cfs. Fishing in the Pilar area was good using elk hair caddis, bead-head wooly buggers, poundmeist­ers, Panther Martin spinners, Mepps spinners and night crawlers. Fishing was slow to fair using streamers, spoons and spinners for smallmouth bass and an occasional northern pike. RIO HONDO: Stream flow near Valdez on Monday was 44.6 cfs. Fishing was good using salmon eggs and worms for trout. RIO MORA: As of Monday, stream flow near Terrero was 29.5 cfs. Fishing was good using night crawlers and salmon eggs for trout. RIO PUEBLO: Stream flow near Peñasco on Monday was 40.3 cfs. Fishing was fair to good using salmon eggs for trout. STORRIE LAKE: Fishing was fair to good using PowerBait, worms and Fire Balls for trout. UTE LAKE: Fishing was slow to fair using jigs, tubes, creature baits and grubs in 15 feet to 20 feet of water for smallmouth bass and largemouth bass. Fishing for catfish was slow but a few were caught by anglers using chicken liver on trotlines.

Southwest

BEAR CANYON LAKE: Fishing was slow to fair using cut bait and night crawlers for catfish. CABALLO LAKE: Fishing was slow to fair using spoons, sassy shad, curly tail grubs and spinners for white bass. Fishing was fair to good using cut bait, night crawlers and chicken liver for catfish. The best catfish reports came from anglers fishing at night. ELEPHANT BUTTE LAKE: Fishing was slow to fair using crank baits, spinners, sassy shad, minnows and grubs for white bass. Fishing for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass was slow with just a few caught by anglers using tubes, grubs,senkos and finesse worms. ESCONDIDA LAKE: Fishing for catfish was slow to fair for anglers using liver, Mr. Catfish dough bait, hotdogs and shrimp. GLENWOOD POND: Fishing was good using PowerBait for trout. LAKE ROBERTS: Fishing was slow to fair using finesse worms, tubes, creature baits and frog imitations for largemouth bass. Fishing for catfish was fair using shrimp, chicken liver and night crawlers. PERCHA DAM: Fishing was fair using minnows, curly tail grubs and jigs for walleye and white bass. Fishing was fair using chicken liver, shrimp and cut bait. RIO GRANDE: Stream flow below Elephant Butte Monday morning was 1,590 cfs. Fishing below Elephant Butte and Caballo and at the Mesilla Valley Dam was fair using night crawlers, chicken liver and cut bait for catfish. Fishing was good using grubs, spoons, minnows and sassy shad for white bass.

Southeast

BOSQUE REDONDO LAKE: Fishing was slow to fair using chicken liver, night crawlers and shrimp for catfish. CHAPARRAL PARK LAKE: Fishing was fair using liver, night crawlers and hotdogs for catfish. EL RITO CREEK: Fishing was fair to good using worms and PowerBait for trout. EUNICE LAKE: Fishing was fair using worms, homemade dough bait and hot dogs for catfish. GREEN MEADOW LAKE: Fishing was slow to fair using liver, Magic Bait and night crawlers for catfish. GREENE ACRES LAKE: Fishing was fair using chicken liver and homemade dough bait for catfish. JAL LAKE: Fishing was fair using worms for catfish. LAKE VAN: Fishing was fair using homemade dough bait, shrimp, Charlie’s catfish bait and chicken liver for catfish. PECOS RIVER: Stream flow below Sumner Lake was 78.2 cfs. PERCH LAKE: Fishing was good using night crawlers, liver and homemade dough bait for catfish. RUIDOSO LAKE: Stream flow at Hollywood on Monday was 8.57 cfs. Fishing was good using salmon eggs for trout. SANTA ROSA LAKE: Fishing was fair using crank baits, creature baits, senkos, finesse worms, curly tail grubs, top water lures and tubes for largemouth bass. Fishing was fair using crank baits for walleye. Fishing was slow to fair using chicken liver and shrimp on trotlines for catfish. SUMNER LAKE: Fishing was fair using chicken liver, bluegill and shrimp for catfish. Fishing for all other species was slow with just a few small walleye and smallmouth bass reported.
