In “Running Out of Time,” the first of two back-to-back episodes that end the drama’s run, Sadie (Katherine Heigl) makes her closing argument on Billy’s (Steven Pasquale, pictured) behalf. Keeping her mind on business is hard, given what she learns about Carolyn (Judith Light). Then in the finale, “The Return,” the jury reveals its verdict, and Billy does something that impacts Sadie and Carolyn very personally. Laverne Cox, Dule Hill and Elliott Gould also star.
7 p.m. on AMC TURN: Washington’s Spies
The fate of the Culper Ring is revealed as this historical drama reaches its conclusion in the series finale Washington’s
Spies. As the American War of Independence from Great Britain winds down, there’s an inevitable settling of accounts between shadows and spies, even while a newborn America struggles to begin. Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Ian Kahn and Heather Lind star.
7 p.m. on HALL Movie: Summer in the Vineyard
Rachael Leigh Cook and Brendan Penny return to their roles as lovers and winery co-owners Frankie Baldwin and Nate DeLuca in this follow-up to 2016’s Autumn
in the Vineyard. The action picks up three years after the first TV movie, as Frankie and Nate prepare to bottle their first vintage, to be shown at an upcoming food-and-wine event. With so much riding on the occasion, stress takes its toll on their relationship.
8 p.m. on BBC AMERICA Orphan Black
This dazzling sci-fi thriller, which earned a richly deserved Emmy for star Tatiana Maslany in what seemed to be an endless gallery of roles, reaches its suspenseful conclusion in the Season 5 finale, “To Right the Wrongs of Many.” As nature takes its course, Helena (Maslany) has no choice but to take shelter behind enemy lines. That leaves her “sestra” Sarah (Maslany again) and Art (Kevin Hanchard) to do what they can to protect her.
9 p.m. on HBO Movie: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
J.K. Rowling made her screenwriting debut with this whimsical 2016 spinoff to the blockbuster movie adaptations of her Harry Potter novels, with Eddie Redmayne starring as Newt Scamander, a “magizoologist” tracking down magical creatures set free in the wizarding world of 1926 New York. Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Samantha Morton and Alison Sudol co-star in the movie, which became the first Harry Potter-related film to win an Oscar (for costume design).
