7 p.m. on FOOD NETWORK The Great Food Truck Race

Seven teams with visions of owning their own food truck gather in the French Quarter of New Orleans as a new season opens with “Battle for the South: The Big ‘Not So Easy.’ ” Host Tyler Florence presents them with their first challenge: to create their own version of a beignet and sell it in the iconic French Market. Whatever money they earn, they get to add to their seed money. Local celebrity chef Susan Spicer is a guest judge.

7 p.m. on TNT The Last Ship

The action thriller returns for Season 4 with two new back-to-back episodes. First, “In Medias Res” picks up the story 16 months after the gallant crew of the Nathan James succeeded in thwarting a dangerous coup in America. Now they must face a new global crisis, but no one knows where Tom Chandler (Eric Dane, pictured) is. Then, in “The Pillars of Hercules,” the crew searches for an item that could save the world while Chandler pursues a mission of revenge.

8 p.m. on PBS Endeavour on Masterpiec­e

Season 4 of the mystery series about the young Inspector Morse begins with “Game,” as Shaun Evans returns as the sleuth whose search for a serial killer — who may not be choosing victims randomly — involves several drownings and a chess-skilled computer named Jason. On the personal front, Morse doubts he’s equipped to console Thursday (Roger Allam) after Joan’s sudden departure.

8 p.m. on HALLMARK Movie: At Home in Mitford

Recently divorced children’s book author Cynthia Coppersmit­h (Andie MacDowell) heads to her late uncle’s picturesqu­e hometown to get his house ready for sale, but she’s also hoping the solitude will help her get over a crippling case of writer’s block. Instead, she finds herself increasing­ly distracted by Father Tim Kavanaugh (Cameron Mathison), a handsome and quirky Episcopal priest living next door. Ken Tremblett and Nicholas Holmes also star in this 2017 romance.

8 p.m. on SHOWTIME Episodes

The Golden Globe Award-winning and Emmy-nominated sitcom returns for its fifth and final season, which picks up the story several months after the Season 4 finale. Matt’s (Matt LeBlanc) game show is a huge hit, but his acting career seems to have been forgotten altogether.
