ABIQUIÚ LAKE: Fishing was good using tubes, grubs, worms, square bill crank baits and top water lures for smallmouth bass. ALBUQUERQU­E AREA DRAINS: Fishing was fair to good using worms for bluegill and catfish. BRAZOS RIVER: Fishing was fair to good using copper John Barrs, small prince nymphs, small dry flies and worms for trout. CHAMA RIVER: Monday morning water flows below El Vado and Abiquiú were 706 cfs and 802 cfs respective­ly. Fishing below El Vado was very good using beadhead wooly buggers, spinners, night crawlers, Fire Balls and PowerBait for brown and rainbow trout. Fishing below Abiquiú was slow. COCHITI LAKE: Fishing was fair to good using crank baits, spinner baits, tubes, senkos and jerk baits for smallmouth bass and an largemouth bass and white bass. HERON LAKE: Bank fishing was fair using salmon eggs, worms and PowerBait for rainbow trout. We had no other reports. Fishing pressure was very light. JEMEZ WATERS: Stream flow on the Jemez River near Jemez Springs on Monday morning was 13.9 cfs. Trout fishing on the Jemez was fair for anglers using copper John Barrs and salmon eggs. Fishing on the Cebolla was very good using worms, Fire Balls and elk hair caddis. We had no other reports. SAN JUAN RIVER: Fly fishing action through the Quality waters was good for anglers using RS2s, root beers, small emergers, red annelids, San Juan worms, dead chickens, Adams and small beadhead pheasant tail nymphs. TINGLEY BEACH: Fishing was very good using hot dogs, stink bait, chicken liver, beef liver and shrimp for channel catfish. We had no other reports.
