VETERANS BENEFIT CONCERT: From 7 to 11 p.m. at the VFW Post 2951, 307 Montezuma Ave., Heroic Hearts Project will host a fundraising event to support New Mexico veterans who suffer from PTSD. The local band Los Reflections will be featured. The cost is $10. All proceeds will go to support the veterans.
“MEDIA LITERACY IN A FAKE NEWS WORLD”: Northern New Mexico Press Women present a panel discussion at 1 p.m. at the Southside Branch Library, 6599 Jaguar Drive. Panel moderator Inez Russell Gomez, editorial page editor of The Santa Fe New Mexican, with Albuquerque Journal North editor Mark Oswald, Taos News editor Staci Matlock, PBS Newshour correspondent Kathleen McCleery and author James McGrath Morris. The free event is sponsored by the Santa Fe Public Library, New Mexico Press Women, the Society of Professional Journalists (Rio Grande Chapter), Santa Fe chapter of the League of Women Voters, the Foundation for Open Government and It’s the People’s Data. FAMILY FUN DAY: In support of people in recovery from drug and alcohol addictions, from noon to 4 p.m. at Railyard Park’s Performance Green. The event will include entertainment, food, face painting, activities for children plus free food from Peas N Pod Catering and an art show and entertainers.
