7 p.m. on FOX Empire The Lee Daniels-produced musicindus­try drama launches its fourth season with “Noble Memory,” a crossover story that concludes immediatel­y afterward on Star. That show’s Queen Latifah appears here, as her Carlotta has a showdown with Lucious and Cookie (Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson). Cookie also has other concerns, including Lucious’ nurse, Claudia — played by guest star Demi Moore, in the role she began in the final moments of last season’s finale. 7 p.m. on NBC The Blacklist Red and Liz (James Spader, Megan Boone) become full partners in taking down criminals when she goes to work for him in “Smokey Putnum,” the drama’s fifth-season premiere. It’s not a simple propositio­n for Liz, who questions giving up certain principles she’s long held to join Red in his rogue missions. Tom (Ryan Eggold, becoming a full-time cast member again after the shortlived Redemption spinoff) also ponders his profession­al future. Harry Lennix also stars. 7 p.m. on ABC The Goldbergs Erica (Hayley Orrantia) begins her college career — only to find an immediate complicati­on when her roommate (guest star Alison Rich) also is named Erica — as the comedy starts its fifth season with “Weird Science.” That title has true significan­ce here: Ilan MitchellSm­ith, of the same-named 1985 movie, is a guest star ... and a familiar subplot finds Adam (Sean Giambrone) trying to “build” a girlfriend for Barry (Troy Gentile). Buckley. 9 p.m. on SUND Rosehaven Real-life best friends Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola created and wrote this hit Australian comedy series, which airs its first season with two weekly back-to-back episodes starting tonight. In the series premiere, Daniel McCallum (McGregor) returns to Rosehaven, his rural Tasmanian hometown, to help his mother (Kris McQuade) with her real-estate business. To his surprise, his best friend Emma (Pacquola) turns up there as a runaway bride.
